The short version. Sea Sprint is a game. The only thing you ever write in it is a handle, and everyone can see it, so keep it clean. We have zero tolerance for offensive, hateful, sexual or impersonating handles: they are removed, and repeat offenders are banned. Anyone can report a handle or hide a player from inside the game, and we look at every report within 24 hours.
1. Who we are and what you're agreeing to
Sea Sprint is published by FutureProof Sales LTD, a company registered in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By installing or playing Sea Sprint you agree to these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, these terms add to it rather than replace it. Contact: support@seasprint.app.
2. Your handle and the fair-play rules
When you first play you choose a handle of 2 to 12 characters. It appears next to your scores on the public leaderboard and is shown to anyone you sail with in Play with a Friend or Play with Anyone. It is the only text you can enter in the game: there is no chat, no messages, no profile and no pictures.
Your handle must not:
- contain profanity, slurs, sexual content, or anything hateful, threatening or harassing, in any language or spelling (look-alike characters and "leetspeak" count);
- impersonate another person, company, brand or Sea Sprint itself;
- include personal information: yours or anyone else's real name, phone number, email address or the like;
- be used to promote anything, or to get round a previous removal.
Zero tolerance. The game checks every handle against a filter before it can be claimed, and again on our server. A handle that breaks these rules is removed from the leaderboard and placed on a banned list so it can't be claimed again; the player is asked to choose another, and we may block an installation that keeps trying. Our decision on what breaks the rules is final, but you can write to us if you think we got it wrong.
3. Reporting and hiding players
- Report a handle. Tap the ··· button next to any handle (on the leaderboard, in the crew list before a linked run, or on the results screen) and choose REPORT HANDLE. The report goes straight to us. We review every report within 24 hours and remove handles that break section 2. You don't need an account to report, and we don't tell the other player who reported them.
- Hide a player. The same menu offers HIDE THIS PLAYER (reporting hides them too). A hidden player disappears from your leaderboard and can't be matched with you, host you or join your river. Hiding is stored on your device; SHOW AGAIN on the home screen undoes it.
- Contact us. support@seasprint.app, shown at the bottom of the game's home screen, for anything the buttons don't cover.
4. Playing fair
Don't cheat the leaderboard, interfere with other players' games or with our servers, or use the game for anything unlawful. We may remove scores that could only have been produced by tampering. Sea Sprint is not directed at children under 13; if you are under 13, please don't play without a parent's permission.
5. Purchases
Remove Ads (a one-off purchase) and the 24-Hour Revive Pass (a consumable) are sold through Apple's App Store or Google Play, which handle payment, receipts and refunds under their own terms. Remove Ads can be restored on a new device with RESTORE. A revive pass runs for 24 hours from purchase and is not refundable once started. The free version shows ads; see our privacy policy for what that involves.
6. The game, and what we don't promise
Sea Sprint is provided as-is, for fun. We work hard to keep the leaderboard and linked play running, but they depend on your connection and on third-party services (Google Firebase, Apple, Google), and we can't promise they will always be available or that scores will never be lost. We may change, pause or withdraw features, the leaderboard or the game itself at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your use of the game; nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under the law of your country.
7. Your content and ours
You keep whatever rights you have in your handle, and you give us permission to show it, with your scores, to other players and on share cards. Everything else in Sea Sprint (the game, artwork, music and name) belongs to FutureProof Sales LTD and may not be copied or reused without permission.
8. Changes and the law
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Material changes are shown in the game before you next set sail. These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts there have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection consumer law gives you where you live.
