SEA SPRINTPrivacy Policy

Last updated 10 September 2026 · Applies to the Sea Sprint app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and to this website.

The short version. Sea Sprint has no accounts and no sign-in. The only thing you type into the game is a handle, which appears with your scores on a public leaderboard. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses device data to serve and measure them. If you buy Remove Ads or a 24-Hour Revive Pass, Apple or Google handles the payment and we only learn that the purchase happened. We don't sell your data, we don't run analytics trackers, and we don't ask for your location, contacts or photos.

1. Who we are

Sea Sprint is published by FutureProof Sales LTD, a company registered in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK and EU data protection law, FutureProof Sales LTD is the data controller for the information described in this policy.

Questions, requests and complaints: support@seasprint.app.

2. What we collect and why

2.1 Your handle and scores (the leaderboard)

When you first play you choose a handle of 2 to 12 characters. After each run the game sends your handle, best score, highest level reached, total levels completed, rank and the time of the update to our leaderboard database. This is what makes the ALL PLAYERS leaderboard work.

So that no two players can share a handle, the game signs your installation in anonymously with Firebase Authentication. This creates a random identifier that is stored on your device and recorded against your leaderboard entry as its owner. It contains no personal information, is not linked to your Apple ID, and is deleted from your device when you delete the app.

2.1a Notifications (optional)

If you allow notifications, the game stores a notification token for your phone (issued by Apple or Google's push service) on your leaderboard entry. Our server uses it for one thing: to send you a message when another player pushes you out of the leaderboard's top ten. The token identifies your app installation to the push service, not you. Decline the permission, or turn notifications off in your phone's Settings, and the token is not used; delete the app and it stops working.

2.2 Data that stays on your device

The game stores your handle, best score, highest level, career total, sound and graphics preferences, your daily streak and banked revives, how many ad revives you have used today, whether you own Remove Ads and when a 24-Hour Revive Pass runs out, all in the app's local storage on your device. This is never sent anywhere (other than the leaderboard fields above) and is deleted when you delete the app.

2.3 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of Sea Sprint shows a banner during play, a full-screen ad when you complete a stage (before the countdown into the next one), and an optional rewarded video if you choose to revive a run. These are served by Google AdMob, part of Google LLC. When an ad is requested, Google receives information from your device, which may include:

Google uses this to serve ads, measure their performance, prevent fraud and, where you have consented, personalise the ads you see. Without consent you receive non-personalised (contextual) ads. Where you live in the EEA, UK or Switzerland we ask for your choices through a consent form before personalised ads are shown; you can change your mind at any time (see section 6).

Google is an independent controller of the data it collects for advertising. You can read Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

2.4 In-app purchases (Remove Ads, 24-Hour Revive Pass)

Remove Ads (one-off) and the 24-Hour Revive Pass are bought through Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPad, or Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment; we never see your card or bank details. To confirm and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives the store's receipt or purchase token, a random identifier generated for your installation of the app (not linked to your name, Apple ID or Google account), and basic device and app-version information. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy; Apple's is at apple.com/legal/privacy and Google's at policies.google.com/privacy.

2.5 Sharing your score

Tapping SHARE after a run builds a picture of your score on your device and hands it to your phone's share sheet, along with a link to the App Store or Google Play. Which app you share it to, and what that app does with it, is between you and that app; nothing is sent to us.

2.6 Technical and security data

Like any online service, the servers that host the leaderboard (Google Firebase) and this website (Firebase Hosting) record standard request data such as IP address, request time and user agent in security logs, which are retained for a limited period by Google in line with its policies. We use these only to keep the service running and secure.

3. What we don't do

4. Children

Sea Sprint is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The only data a player provides is a self-chosen handle, and we ask everyone not to use their real name. If you believe a child has entered personal information into a handle, email us and we will remove it.

5. How long we keep it

DataKept
Leaderboard entry (handle, scores and anonymous owner ID)For as long as the leaderboard operates, or until you ask us to remove or rename it. Entries dormant for 180 days may be replaced when another player claims the handle.
Data stored on your deviceUntil you delete the app or clear its data.
Purchase records (RevenueCat, Apple, Google)For as long as needed to honour your purchases and meet accounting obligations.
Advertising data held by GoogleAccording to Google's retention policies; see the links in section 2.3.
Server security logsShort-term, per Google Cloud's default retention.

6. Your choices and rights

Advertising choices

Notifications

Turn them off for Sea Sprint in iOS Settings → Notifications or Android Settings → Apps → Sea Sprint → Notifications. Email us if you'd like the token removed from your leaderboard entry.

Your leaderboard entry

You can change your handle at any time from the home screen; your scores move with you to the new handle and the old one is released. To have an entry deleted, or to recover a handle after reinstalling the app, email us with the handle and we will sort it.

Your legal rights

Under the UK GDPR and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email support@seasprint.app. Because the game has no accounts, please tell us the handle you play under so we can find your data. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the supervisory authority in the country where you live.

7. International transfers

Our leaderboard data is stored in Europe. Google and RevenueCat may process advertising and purchase data in the United States and other countries. Where personal data leaves the UK or EEA, these providers rely on approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, for Google, certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.

8. Security

All traffic between the app and our services is encrypted with HTTPS. Leaderboard writes are limited by database security rules to the score fields described above. No system is perfectly secure, which is one more reason we keep the amount of personal data in Sea Sprint to a minimum.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how Sea Sprint handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the App Store and Google Play release notes.
